The Acting for Business Course
The Whitsun Brook Acting for Business course is designed to harness the essence of key skills used by actors in the TV, film and theatre industry and apply them in a corporate environment to boost confidence, communication and presentation skills.
Stage craft
Understanding the technical and physical aspects of presenting yourself confidently in front of others, including body language, posture, gestures, and spatial awareness.
Key Focus:
Enhancing your presence in meetings, presentations, and networking by using the physical space effectively and conveying confidence through movement.
Sight Reading
The ability to quickly and effectively read aloud from a script or notes, while maintaining natural flow and engagement.
Key Focus:
Applying this skill to real-time business scenarios like reading reports, proposals, or delivering presentations without prior preparation, maintaining clarity and engagement.
Improvisation
The ability to think on your feet, adapt quickly, and engage in spontaneous dialogue.
Key Focus:
Training for unpredictability in business settings, such as handling unexpected questions, navigating challenging negotiations, or responding to unforeseen situations with creativity and composure.
Screen Craft
Learning the technical aspects of on-camera performance, including framing, lighting, and camera angles, as well as developing a natural presence on video calls.

Improving virtual communication for Zoom meetings, video presentations, and recorded pitches by mastering the nuances of online delivery and appearing professional on camera.
Voice projection
